Madam Kwan at KLCC

Don't mistaken this is my first visit to Madam Kwan, not that kampung boy though I came from a city full with paddy field =P

Okay, just a sudden thought mentioning about my hometown. Yes, I'm heading back Alor Star in few hours time and I'm going on a vacation trip to Krabi on Friday with my friends and family. *excited*

Brought Uncle Scott to Madam Kwan when we did the Evening Photoshoot of KLCC and Night View of KLCC . A great place to have Malaysia cuisines....

Photobucket

Nasi Bojari is always my first choice whenever I go to Madam Kwan. Tricolour Rice comed with Assam Prawns, Fried Chicken and Beef Rendang... Uncle Scott ordered this as well =]

Photobucket

Daddy ordered Curry Laksa since he just want some light dinner for the night.

Photobucket

Dad suggestion to order the Curry Fish Head. It's a big disappointment that the spiciness of the curry was tasteless to us. It's just not up to my standard, curry fish head in Alor Star anytime taste way better than this.

Photobucket

Well, the opinion above is just solely my personal point of view and might vary from you guys. =]

Molten Lava the Only Specialize Churros Seller in Malaysia!

Last Wednesday I was invited by Thong Kai for a makan-makan session at Molten Lava in One Utama.

Without knowing what's the type of food Molten Lava serving, I met up with the others for this food session. When I was told that we're having Churros for this food session, I was thinking in mind what's the heck is that? I never come across such a food term before. But I can tell you here now, you must try out the Churros if you never have one in your life. I mean it!

Photobucket

Molten Lava was created out of the love for good food, food that makes you happy. This idea was sparked by a craving for the oh-so-yummy churros sold in Disneyland (happy food from the happiest place on Earth). Then, they took the idea further and cooked up delicious snacks from around the globe, fused them with our favourite local flavours and voila, their menu was born!

Photobucket

The crave of Michelle Chong, the managing partner towards Churros motivates her on opening her own outlet in Malaysia serving just that as well as a host of other snacks that she likes but cannot seem to find here.

After I have been talking so much, still no idea what's churros about right? I knew you were too lazy to google it, it's actually known as Spanish Doughnut. Sounds unfamiliar right?

Let's start going through the pictures of the churros, prepare tissue if you don't want end up your keyboard filled up with your saliva =P

Photobucket
Churros Cinnamon Sugar @ RM4.80 only

If you're looking for a simple taste of churros, head for this Churros Cinnamon Sugar. The flavor sugar enhance the taste of churros and perfect for takeaway.

Molten Chocolate Dip @ RM 5.80

Churros, sometimes referred to as a Spanish doughnut, are fried-dough pastry-based snacks, sometimes made from potato dough, that originated in Spain. They are also popular in Latin America, France, Portugal, Morocco, the United States, Australia, and Spanish-speaking Caribbean islands. There are two types of churros in Spain. One is thin (and usually knotted) and the other, especially popular in Madrid, is long and thick (porra). They both are normally eaten for breakfast dipped in hot chocolate.

Photobucket
Filled Churros @ RM 4.50 each

Starting May, customers looking forward to Churros with fillings and after some time experiment with more creations, she created a new menu to savour the customer needs.

Photobucket
Funnel Cake Strawberry Chocolate + Ice Cream @ RM 10.50 only

This is the creations of Michelle, funnel cake topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and slices of strawberries.Funnel cake is a very thin layers weaved like a web, therefore it's crispy if compared with Churros.

Photobucket
Roti Paratha Peanut Butter + Banana + Chocolate Dizzle @ RM5.00 only

This is the first time I tried Roti Paratha with Peanut butter and banana topped on it. A bit dry but it makes peanut butter doesn't taste as bad as I thought. I don't like peanut butter anyway!

Photobucket

You can place your order from them as they have the custom made service and it's so sweet and delicious =]

Morning Breakfast at Tappers Jaya One

Last month when I work for the Nescafe Road Show event, I happened to have my breakfast with my colleague before we start work. Not to mention that it's actually Salmon that make us have our meal while waiting the late comer him =P

There's this shop that look damn elegant, Tappers. A classic English design cafe that serve nice breakfast =]

Photobucket

I ordered a set of American Breakfast for myself though I have a light breakfast earlier on. It comes along with a glass of fresh milk =]

Photobucket

Boon Aun ordered this omelette as he just bought some bread and milk at 7-11 as his breakfast.

Photobucket

My memory is getting bad, no idea who ordered this toast bread...
Photobucket

Juyi Toast bread...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Nippy Noodle Restaurant @ Jalan Kuchai Lama

I came accross a few good review on this Nippy noodle restaurant, therefore I decided to give it a try last month.

Photobucket

What makes this shop out standing from others? Nippy Noodle Restaurant make their own noodles daily, with fresh duck egg and knit the dough using bamboo. I guess not much people actually knit the dough using bamboo nowadays, more like you can spot it in TV instead.

Photobucket

We did some quick order and make it possible to try as much food as we can since there's good review out there. One more thing I noted there is that they will close their shop earlier as long as they sold off their noodles that day.

Photobucket
All tables are stick with the steps they make the noodle, of course not including their secret recipe.

After a short while, our food is served...

Photobucket
Sui Kao soup is more like a must whenever I go when it's available. Too bad it taste very normal and nothing much outstanding compare to others shops. My aunt Sui Kao or Canton-I wan is much tastier I can say.

Photobucket
We order Siew Yuk and intestine as well. To me the Siew Yuk is not satisfying at all. The ratio's of the meat and fats part make it taste so normal that you won't have the eager to have next piece. For the intestine, nothing much difference I could say....

Photobucket
We order a small plate of vege along the dinner. The price for this small plate of vege is damn expensive. I don't think it's worth it...

Photobucket
One thing that I can praise about is their char siew. The char siew is nice but the noodle is ordinary. I can't find any special about the noodle on the taste or texture. I can say the wan tan mee stalls in OUG is much nicer =]

Photobucket
TeeJay ordered the noodle with Chicken feet, it's quite some time since we ever have it in KL. I guess we just get to eat it during dim sum session in KL.

Photobucket
Ade noodle with mushroom. I guess that's nothing much to elaborate on the mushroom...

Photobucket
As usual my cousin and his gf along with me for food review =]

I guess the conclusion for the food review is Not Nice, Expensive, and Bye! xD
