Brussels Beer Cafe @ Jaya One

Hey,food post again :)

Today gonna bring you guys to Brussels Beer Cafe at Jaya One, PJ...

One week ago, me and Stephanie went Brussels to interview for part-time waiter/waitress job. We ended up having lunch there after the interview session as my cousin brother, TJ highly recommended from the aspect of taste and price.

Well, Brussels serve Belgium cuisine and beers such as Hoegaarden and Leffe. They are famous with the beers as it's not available everywhere. Hoegaarden are much more smoother to drink compared with other beers. I guess you know the price with be more 'smoother' also...haha

Brussels now having great set lunch promotions from Monday to Friday and each day, there are 2 main course to choose from. For RM15, you get a glass of soft drink, a main course, a bowl of salad and no tax!. Pretty worth isn’t it.

Since I went on Thursday, the choices available are Roasted Chicken and Brussels Hot Dog. I took the roasted chicken while Stephanie took the hot dog set. Do not under-estimate the portion of food though they promoting at RM15.

Their salad bar is quite extensive, serves few type of veges and sauce...Not to mention the vegetables are fresh and nice looking compared to Pizza Hut :)

My Roasted Chicken

Stephanie Brussels Hot Dog

Well, it looks similar to something else :P
I leave it to you for the great imagination :)

Ice Lemon tea
Back to the interview part,

Well, anyone who interested to find me can come here for dinner as my working time will be from 5pm-12.30am on Wednesday till Sunday. Oh my god, I don't have any social life anymore. Everyday work work work dah....
See you guys there...lolx..

Thanks to Nuffnang,
This is the first time I won movie tickets in my life and first time attending Nuff nang related event too.

Yesterday I attended Murderer Premiere Screening starring by Aaron Kwok with my guest Yi Ying in Cine pleasure at 9.30pm....

Nuffnang often gives out Premiere Screening tickets by some contest such as creating slogan or titled blog post. Well, this is just what you have to do the in the tickets. Fortunately, I manage to win the tickets by creating some slogan which I can't even remember now... lolx

The invitation email from Nuffnang :)

The tickets and batch collected at Nuffnang counter =)

My guest * Yi Ying *

Yesterday after my audit class, I went to pick up Yi Ying at her house in Taman Megah. Luckily I manage to find the way to her house during the jam in LDP.
At first I planned to have out dinner in Waroeng Penyet at The Curve as me and Yi Ying starving when we reach there, unfortunately that the restaurant was fully booked. We later then decided to eat in Paddington House of Pancakes.

Triple Celebration at 1 Moment!

First of all, I guess I have to apologise to some people for waiting this post...

My triple celebration refers to celebration of 3 peoples birthday at the same time :P

Chin Kian birthday was one day before Mel and Hesmond birthday. I guess you understand i meant Mel and Hesmond sharing birthday on the same date right :P

Well, the celebration was held in 3 separate place too. Firstly UTAR Setapak as all of them study in UTAR. Me again, sneak into the university pretending their student. Anyway,I'm ex-Utarian what....

Shi Hooi and Teng them planned some games for the birthday boys and girl. The whole session were recorded in video. However it's too huge to upload it here. Just let you know how horrible the game was, they were actually force to finish slice of cake on the toilet bowl. OMG, luckily they dint vomit out what they had earlier on...

Well, second scene came.... We have the dinner celebration in a cafe near Prima Setapak. Sorry that I can't remember the name of the cafe. Anyway,it's not remarkable what and I wouldn't recommend for food place :P

Well, the cat roars.....Miaoz.....

Some of them didn't join us for the dinner as they having work shop on that day, the reason I gave to guard to sneak in UTAR :P

Well, this is 3d bear puzzle present from Nemo and Kock Li to Mel. We took hours to set it up...

The not remarkable food from the cafe. The only speciality I think is that their cappuccino has strong honeydew taste compared to coffee . I really dunno how to describe it...

Following on we shifted to Mel house and I tricked her somehow with the present I gifted her :P True or dare is the game we never missed every birthday celebration. The difference this time was no liqueur involved, sad case right. So who wanna sponsor me liqueur are most welcome :)

Practically the game turn into true sharing story and we burst into laughter from Kock Li personal story. Damn cunn lar him, salute cukup cukup. Ask him yourself if you wanna know :0

This pictures is just to show all of you which read my previous post of Andy Lau thingy. His father in law funeral ceremony held yesterday morning and sent to be mourn. Can you see the crowded at the T-junction towards the right. I guess Andy Lau should be inside the crowd there...

Famous Double Plate in Alor Setar :)

Hey guys, I'm back at Alor Setar couple days after my F6 Tax paper PT1 ended. On that day, I took firefly flight back to my hometown. Credit to my cousin Mei Xian for sending me to the Subang airport though she was sick :)

Surprisingly I met Tian Ning in the departure hall, when I'm heading for the toilet. Luckily she was there, or else I will be the bored est person in flight or probably just slept the whole journey(If I'm able to).

I'm noticed from her that there are Monash University students which are sick of H1N1, yet the university refuse to close down for a week. The same thing happen to Sunway Uni College students, but our 'loved' university doesn't close down the university too. Now you see how our university "love" us :(

I understand that class replacement will be the major problem arising from shutting down, but somehow students health are more important isn't? I can't really understand them... How if the virus spread out in the campus? Who to be blame in future?... perhaps we should sue the university xD

Dump the unhappy stuff, this journey back to hometown I just manage to meet my two good friends, Theam Yiew and Eng Soon(Hopefully I named them correctly xD). We went out on Friday night for karaoke session in E-box. Ya,curious about what's E-box? Intimidate of red box, but bad food quality, bad music surrounding system, bad mic and bad pricing too. They don't have all the new songs and even some old songs.Conclusive word will be BAD BAD and BAD!!

Anyway, we did enjoy our singing session there though the facilities sucks. That's probably due to the main purpose of gathering rather than singing :)

After the singing session, we went for a short pool game in Alor Star mall. We played for approximately half an hour plus only ;) Quite miss the time on first sem of CAT which we always played pool in Sunway Pyramid after Malaysian Studies class...

So after the games, Eng Soon suggested for a mamak session. Actually I prefer Halo Cafe more deeply in my heart ;) Unfortunately, Halo Cafe had been shut down. I guess it due to the bad business in Alor Star. Sure lar weyy, who will spend so much there during normal days. Even every time i came back on weekends, the most i see few 'prawns' inside only..

I suggested this place, Double plate!
Actually the name of the mamak is Gemilang Burger, but it is more famous for the double plate and I was introduced with the name of double plate couple years ago from Wei Jie.
Lets skip my crap and look more at the pictures ;)

I think the pricing is pretty cheap compared to lots of place...

Well, this is the double plate. Can you imagine this plate consist of the chicken fillet, fries, coleslaw and egg just cost RM 4 and it's yummy!!!! That's too too too cheap lar weyy!!

This is the lamb chop....So so I would say...

While, teh tarik panas is a must for me during mamak session. Anyway, first time i came across jagung drinks which Eng Soon order...
The last but not least,

Banana leaf rice in Restaurant Nirwana Maju @ Bangsar

Hey people, food post is back into picture in my blog here :)
I think it's been month time which I never come out which any food related post, sorry ya :-D
Well, today I'm gonna recommend a place for nice banana leaf rice in Bangsar. In case anyone don't know about banana leaf rice, it is a typical dish in South Indian cuisine.
Therefore, my cousin TJ claims that we (means me and him) have the Indian bloods (super minor but perhaps I claim myself Chindian? lolx...) running through the vein, we have to love banana leaf rice =="
In banana leaf rice, white rice (or parboiled rice in authentic South Indian restaurants) is served on a banana leaf with an assortment of vegetables, curried meat or fish, pickles, and/or papadum. Most of the time, however, only the gravy of the curry will be served and no meat is served as it is meant to be a traditional Indian vegetarian dish. It is traditionally eaten with the hand.

The banana leaf is used as it is believed that the hot rice will release the coating on the banana leaf, which aids in digestion.

The Banana Leaf has my name on it when it came, so sweet ;) (Dream on for it ya, cause I grave it in :P)

The waiter will serve you one by one the vegetables and pickles. Following up with the rice and curry gravy:)

~ Cucumber ~ Fried cabbage with chili ~ Crispy bitter gout ~

Papadum, often shortened to paapad (see above), is a thin crispy Indian Wafer sometimes described as a cracker or flatbread. They are typically served as an accompaniment to a meal in India and Pakistan. It is also eaten as an appetizer or a snack and can be eaten with various toppings such as chopped onions, chutney or other dips and condiments.

In certain parts of India, raw papadums (dried but unroasted) are used in curries and vegetable preparations. Papadums are made in different sizes. Smaller ones can be eaten like a snack chip and the larger ones can be used to make wraps.

~ Ayam kicap Vs Ayam Goreng ~

If you're a person which like to taste rich flavour of chicken, you must try the ayam kicap. It's very delicious which eventually we ordered for one more plate :) The ayam goreng is very tasty too.

Not forget to mention that the rice, vegetables and pickles can be refill without a single charge. I mean refill ya.. ;P

This restaurant is located opposite of Bangsar Village Mall 2 and next to Madam Kuan(apart few shops).

Here come my rating ;)

Food : 8/10

Service : 7/10

Price : 7/10
