Bai Tian Gong 2010

The ninth day of Chinese New Year is a significant important day for Hokkiens. It's the day which the Hokkiens express their gratitude to the Heavenly God for blessing them throughout the year.

My families are purely Hokkien, therefore we behold this relief too. A simple yet meaningful praying session is carried out at the late night of 8th day Chinese New Year. For your information, the time for the praying session vary every year.

Every food that used for the praying represent some good meaning. For your example, fat choi represent fat =]

Practically few years ago I influenced my mom to pray with vegetarian style.

Arrival at Hong Kong and Kowloon Here I am!

Yeah, finally my first post to Hong kong came by. I guess it's much faster than Smashpop one though he went there 2 months ahead me =P

Upon arrival in the Chek Lap Kok Airport(Hong Kong International Airport), we took a ride on the train to the immigration check and began exploring Hong Kong.

Photobucket

Not to forget grabbing a copy of the Tourist Map in Hong Kong when we touring around there ourselves.
Photobucket

This trip consist of 9 people, my family and TeeJay family. A full force of my family members and brother girl friend, while TeeJay sister did not came along the trip.

Photobucket

As in the itinerary we got from the Tour Agency, we get to "tour" and have a great view of the Tsing Ma Bridge of Hong Kong upon the transfer from Airport to Hotel.
Photobucket

Of course this is not a pure photography trip which they wouldn't bring me to a spot just to snap a nice picture of the bridge.

Photobucket

For your information, this bridge is the world sixth-longest span suspension bridge and was the second longest at time of completion. This bridge carries six lanes of automobile traffic, with three lanes in each direction. The lower level of it contains 2 rail tracks and there's also 2 sheltered carriageways on the lower deck for maintenance access and as backup for traffic when particular severe typhoons strike Hong Kong.
Photobucket

Yey, I stayed in this Regal Oriental Hotel situated at Kowloon for the first 2 days. Why it's only 2 days, thats because I'm leaving to Shen Zhen for the 3th day evening and the last night in Hong Kong will be staying in a different Hotel.

Okay, I knew you miss me =P
Photobucket
A cam whoring picture at the lobby of the hotel. I guess I can make this picture for my new display picture later on =]

Since there's still some time before we suppose to gather up at the lobby to visit Avenue of Star, Teejay, my sister Rachel and me decided to have a quick visit around the town.

Photobucket

I guess it looks exactly the same as we can see from the Hong Kong dramas. The yellow buses, old building and an old aunty pushing the trolley across the road.

Photobucket

Took a few pictures and walking around the town. You won't get lost in the town for sure though it looks complication with the cross sections and roads. Just like we say you wont get lost in Langkawi or Penang as it's just an Island, where can you be?

Photobucket

Before heading back the Hotel, we passby a playground/garden.... Does this looks like what you see from TV?

Photobucket
Okay, of course without the lansi beh syok face there =P

Photobucket

One more thing about Hong Kong is there's always construction going on around the island and mainland. But I guess this better than Malaysia that the roads are not well maintained and there's holes everywhere ==''

Photobucket

That's all for today, stay tuned =]

A Cooler Xiang now!

Thought of updating my blog about Hong Kong trip today, but I decided to blog about the hair cut and hair dye I have lately from Toni and Guy instead.

Thanks to Zoeyve, she invited my over the Toni & Guy Academy KL last 2 weeks for a complement hair cut by the student. Thinking of getting a new hair style there, I decided to leave long my hair and get a hair trim over there.

After a long consideration and courage from Zoeyve, I decided to get a hair dyeing at Toni & Guy Academy KL too. I headed there for the session yesterday morning.

Not to mention Christopher was my hair stylist dealing with the hair cutting part while Simon dealing with the hair dyeing part. The are both hair stylist training student from Toni & Guy Academy KL.

After the dinner session, we make a move to Mel Lee house for the second session. I brought the Drinking Roulette set that i got as birthday present from bloggers friends as the entertainment tool of the night.

Since my liquor drink in Mel house was finished by some "ghost", we change the bet to soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, pepper and so on. I remember the most disgusting bet was the Italian Herbs drink...

Birthday girl was kind of lucky, drank only a few cups throughout the game

I'm back from Hong Kong people!

I enjoyed myself a lot during the trip and thanks my parents bringing me over there for vacation.

Oh ya, I got some small present/souvenir for my readers here to kept my blog occupied though I'm away for so many days. But then it's damn limited, so I will do some small contest for that later on. Don't miss it seriously =P

Photobucket

For your information I took over 2000+ pictures in Hong Kong, it will took me more than a month time to fully blog about it. So be patient people if you are waiting for the pictures =]

Hatyai trip during the Weekend

Last last Friday my family and Teejay family went in Thailand together before the Songkran festival. Though TeeJay father couldn't make it to go last min, the rest of us still went in Hatyai with my dad 7 seater's car. It was damn packed on the way back as the car was loaded with lots of stuff. However that was a happy trip though =]

Photobucket
Joann and Murali

You can't imagine how often I've been to Hatyai in Thailand. I believe I went there more than 15times in my life and same goes to TeeJay. It's only 120km from my hometown Alor Star to Hatyai, so it's more like a Penang to me =]

So don't keep on ask me why I go so frequent though it sounds like I going out from the country that often =P

Photobucket
Hatyai town had set up a bath buddha in front of Central Shopping Mall

Photobucket
The big man with small woman! lolx..

One more thing about Hatyai is it's famous for all the temples... Will post about it later on =]
