If you dunno what happening yesterday 09th Jan 2010 in One Utama, I can only describe you in a definite way - outdated!!

Digi had the great event

"Digi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge''

at Marde Grass in One Utama

For your information, this is the 3rd similar event hold by Digi in the history giving away great prizes for the winners. I believe most of you still remember the previous event namely "Digi Pimp My Broadband" that the 1st Price Winner - Trevor Thum walkaway with Mac Book Air with their winning video.

If you ever read my previous post, you'll know that I formed up a group of 4 consist of me, Samuel, Jacquelyn and Jackie for the contest.

As you can see from the banner, we named our group as 1Koolz! among all the choice available. We even came out with out very own slogans We Are Cool! We Play Cool! Who Are We! We are 1Koolz!

To make proof we didn't take this contest easy, we customize our very own team shirt. We have the team name and slogan on the front side of the clothes, both Digi and Nuffnang Logos on the sleeves and our member name with blog url at the back of the clothes.

Oh ya, here's the making process of the T-shirts blog post of Samantha namely Special Secret Project , take some time to look how much effort we put on for the contest =]

To be frank, we actually aimed on the best outfit prize of the day but we are not out standing enough compared to others. No matter how, we got Timothy Tiah, Nuffnang Co-founder attention on the design of the shirt itself. Visit his blog here to look at the pictures he took and spot me and Samuel inside! Haha...

Did I mentioned that 4 of us consist of me, Samuel, Jacquelyn and Jackie recognized each other from blogging world, which innit take place. 4 of us went for Singapore Nuffnang Awards together as well and spent a whole great time with all the nuffnangers!

After the registration and slight briefing, we was told that there were lots of prizes to be win rather than the grand prize itself and no one shall leave the event without presents or prizes. Top scorer of each station shall earn themselves (each member) either cash vouchers or goods worth RM300. There are total of 8 stations and now you can do simple math how much Digi spent to make us happy =] How can we don't love Digi?!!

According to the organizer, we don't need to go accordingly the task list given. We can hop to another station if the station we went was occupied by other groups. For sure we go through the hopping session later on too, that's why we have to be FAST FAST FAST like how Digi broadband Speed can BOOST ON!

1st Station ~ Swatch : Lights, Camera ACTION!

As from the title, I believe you can get some hints on what's the mission about.

We were require to create a 30 seconds video clip advertising Swatch watches and Digi Internet. After a short discussion we have between the group members, we came out with an idea for the advertising movie clip.

I guess I looked the most funniest and childish guy inside the video. My main character is to bring out the anxious feeling of can't get through online to settle something. Things are sorted out when Samuel brought out the Digi broadband and save me from problem! Of course, Swatch played an important role on timing how fast digi broadband could be and settle our problems out of a time limitation.

2nd Station ~ Rain Forest : Bull Eyes

I believe from the title above, we can assume that it's related to some darts thingy game. It came out to be each person given 3 darts to shoot it with the blowing pipe given. It's better know as "sumpit" in Malay words.

It looks easy but believe me, it need your incredible huge blowing air to get the darts shoot on the scoring board and some aiming angles as well. Though my team member doesn't achieve well in this game, but we didn't give up on other stations we gonna go through later on.

3rd Station ~ Rain Forest : Now the net lives on Your Phone

We were required to view a short video clip on a Nokia N series phone (saja nak add on make it more glamour =P ) about the digi advertisement,get the clue for the picture to solve the wording coding game.

That's very sweet of the station master came out with the number coding in a paper to enhance our memory as we are allowed viewing the video once only.

After a short discussion,we came out with the answer

" Broadband Done Right "

Using Digi broadband definitely your RIGHT choice ever!

4th Station ~ Digi Centre : One O'clock, Two O'clock, Three O'clock and Rock

At this station, we experienced how fast Digi Broadband is. We were required to download 2 songs from Lady Gaga and Akon respectively with the fastest speed from Digi Website.

Believe me, it just took so little time to get this task done. Digi you always Smartest Choice!

On the way to the 5th Station, we boarded the lift in One Utama as it's located at the upper floor of the building.

At this moment, how I hope that the lift can move as fast as Digi Broadband is! You can see how impatient I am in the lift keep pressing close before we reaches the upper floor.

Digi Internet - Surf No Fear!

As we arrived at the 5th station, there are still 2 teams queuing up for the game. We decided to take a short rest at the station rather than rush to another station.

Mean time, the usually blogger gang us perform jump shot at the station as what we usual do. If you happen to read my blog all the time, jump post will appear at least once a week man =]

Look at us! We are in sequence MAN! We go for smooth, stable and fast as how Digi Broadband can go! Despite our tiredness, we still can ease out the entire energy to jump here jump there just like Digi never failed our expectation from them.

Oh ya, I think I missed out the important peoples in the team as well. Though we are 4 members in a team but we actually have 8! Wonder why? We have 4 good friends that willing be our photographers and supporters through out the competition.

I don't think you can find any team with 4 photographers as us and none of them are the bf/gf relation that you think it is. Glamour right 1Koolz!

5th Station ~ It's a Hit Batting Cage : It's A Home Run

Batting cage is actually a baseball arena which the balls are automatically reloaded with the machine and shoot towards us. Each person in the team is given 15 balls and points are awarded based on how many balls successfully hit on. If any of us happen to hit on the Digi banner, we will be awarded prizes as it's considered as a home run.

Sadly to mention that none of us achieve home run during the game but at least we are close to it =] One more thing, never look down on girls as the only lady member in our team jacquelyn score the highest mark in this game among us! Salute kao kao *squad down and sembah her* !!

If you still remember I mentioned that we took the elevator up, thats how we gonna go down as well. However we discover one thing after one team leaves the elevator before we go in...

The evil team members actually sabotaged us by pressing all the buttons in the elevator to slow us down. No worries, 1KoolZ not scare of this type of trick! haha! It's a bad example people! Don't learn kids out there!

6th Station ~ Mardi Gras : So You Think You Can Dance?

At this station, we were given 30 seconds to perform pole dance themed Athlete! All of us tried our best dance around the pole, jump like a monkey and did a lot of stunts. I guess this is the first time of most of us performing pole dance in front of so many people there.

If you miss out this turn, I guess you hardly see me pole dance so rocking anymore! Haha..it's precious weyy!! cause cause we are we are.... tell you later on! =P

7th Station ~ Quiksilvers : Super Model You

At this station, we were provided clothings and accessories from Quiksilvers and dressed up ourselves like Super Models! That's pretty easily job but we are limited to the clothes available there. In the end, we have to be innovative and came out with 4 themes!

We are given 30 seconds to pose whatever we want and took all the pictures down. We are required to upload it to facebook as well and now my friends just laughing at me non-stop. Haha...

8th Station ~ Celebrity Fitness : Likely Average Speed

At this station, we are required to run on thread mill for a distance of 800m with out fastest speed. Since it was the last station we have, we squeeze out the whatever energy we have to compete the run as fast as possible. Knowing me as a long distance runner, I challenge myself to achieve at least 13km/hour but I failed it. I can only achieve around 12.98 km/hour which I guess not bad already?! *proudly say it out =P* Haha...

Finally we finish off all the Challenge Station in time but there are one last final crucial task awaiting us back at Marde Grass!

Final and Ultimate task : Write up a blog post about the challenge today within the time Given.

At this point, every team are busy writing up the blog post as well as sort out the pictures as well. I'm in charged of sorting out the pictures and the editing part while the rest of the members works on the blog post itself.

Throughout the competition, our team members cooperate well and manage to finish up all the task on time! We have a strong words in mind, Even thought we might not win, but we must not give up at any stations and exercise as best as we can.

Yummmmmm Senggggggggg!

During the event, buffet style dinner was ready prepared by Digi. There are variety of food, deserts and fruits available for us to fill up our hungry stomach and recharge for the restless body. Not forgetting there are free flow of Carlsberg for the contestant as well. Digi doesn't stay stingy to give us chiplak food people out there! =]

To me, he earns my respect a lot in the event. Knowing contestant running here are there are common things, but the Official Photographer had to run with one big heavy camera, 3 big lens on his waist and so on. Bear in mind, his not a young man like us though!

One more thing that I have to thanks him cause he took so much picture of my group that day as well!! Arigato!

Guess what, Digi employed Jojo Struys as the Emcee of the Night! Wootz!...

This is the second time meeting Jojo in real life. The first time was back on December last year on Digi Mysimplifieds event as well. See how hardcore I supported Digi man! xD

Following on with a hot pole dance by pretty babe rocking the night to the max! Digi Rock!

Shake it Mama Shake It!

Prizes are prepared and the ceremony start up after the pole dance performance.

I'm not sure about how the winners below win the Mini HP laptop, but I'm sure that Digi never stingy in giving out prizes to the people out there.

Following on the night is getting anxious as winners of War Cry Video creators and each stations winner will be announced.

The winner of War Cry Video goes to The Beacons team consist of Nigel Sia, Joshua Ong, Kel Li and Hsu Jen. They walk away with a high-tech headphone with their outstanding video on stage.

Each station winners are announced accordingly and I thought my group would not get anything back home...

When all us are quite frust that we not going to win anything, instead we were surprised that we actually won the station Marde Gras : So You Can Dance? !

1Koolz rocksssssss!!!

Remember the poll dance station we have? haha...We never knew that the hard work we made paid us off with cash vouchers from Chilis. The wound on my leg is nothing compared now to the honour and acknowledgement by the judges. In return, we decided to spare our 4 photographers the meal together in future as a token of appreciation being a mad monkeyz chasing around us the whole day=]

The organizer decided to postpone the submission time for the blog entries as some of us having power failure and uploading problem. The grand prize winner will later on being contact by Digi. Hope 1Koolz will be one of the winning group =]

After the event end, all of the contestants, Digi and Nuffnang staffs headed home to get their rest or edit the blog entry for the final hour. Did I mentioned that every contestant walk home with Limited Edition Prepaid Internet Sim Pack? We definitely will be indulge in the fastest 3G turbo online speed =P

Guess what 1Koolz! members and photographers friends doing? We dance and party in Marde gras till the late night. The manager of Marde Gras serve us a tower of Carlsberg for freee!!!! Thanks man! Usually free flow of drinks end at the finishing of the event like once I'm in MOS but the manager here even serve us more without us requesting it. How can Digi not stand out from its competitor! Wootz!!!

What you can't really think of is we party and rock the night till Marde Gras off operation at 11.30pm. We took a group shot with the DJ that played all the nice songs for us before we leave the bar/club.

We might not be the best but we tried our best!

The last but not least, I would like to say thanks to Digi for organizing such a great event which experienced me with lots of stuff I never did in my life such as running like a mad monkeyz in One Utama, batting, pole dancing in public and so on, thanks to Nuffnang for the collaboration with Digi where Nuffnanger have the opportunity to enter such a great events as a kicker of the new year,thanks to all the people that wishes us Good luck and so on , Bravo to my very own 1Koolz member for doing a great job!
