I bought a New EYE for my Baby!

Weeee.....

After been craving for Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 lens, I finally got it for my baby Alpha 550 yesterday.

I bought it from Studio Zaloon, Pudu Plaza. If you are looking for this lens too, probably you can a good price from them. I'm satisfied with the price quoted to me anyway =]

Seriously I love this lens a lot, work very well with my baby =]
Have a look few samples I took using it with my baby....

Lastly I have to thanks Mel for helping me sold out my HTC Touch Diamond so that I can get this lens so fast as a birthday present for myself! Wee...

Though I'm a happy man by now, but I'm also broke from financial wise. Less outing, less nice food from now on! (I wonder I can make it a not? xD) Haha...

  4. Is the lens versatile enough for you? (considering it is a fast zoom, does the range covered enough for you?)
Is f/2.8 fast enough for you? (Have you gone through some experiences which you hope it can be faster? like f/1.8 or f/1.4 maybe.)

Practically Tamron 17-50 is a kit lens, If you looking for a longer range guess you should head for zoom lens or teleconverter as there's no all rounder lens for DSLR.
F2.8 is more likely to shoot low light scene and the bokehness. It's not about the shutter speed actually. Kit lens doesn't come with F1.4 or F1.8. This two usually associate with prime lens or so call potrait lens and definitely f1.4 will be much nicer compared to f2.8....
