What's on the 9th January?

IT'S DIGI PIMP MY DAY CHALLENGE!

As seen in my previous entry, Jacquelyn, Jackie, Samuel and I formed a team with our group name "1Koolz" and we were ready to kick everyone's asses! Got our gears all checked and we were off to One Utama for the challenge! Reached on time and we saw other groups that are participating pimping up themselves with hats & masquerade masks! But we ain't that terrible too as we have our printed tees that we customized ourselves a few nights before and we're aiming for the best dressed!! And here it is:



We registered ourselves at the counters and headed inside to Mardi Gras where the briefing took place. We were informed that no one will go home empty handed so we're kinda relieved that even though we wont win 1st place we'll still get something home. And furthermore, there are prizes for the highest score for each task! We were briefed about the tasks and stations we were supposed to go. And after the tasks were done we were supposed to get a stamp from the person in charge at that station


So after the briefing we rushed out to our first station which is

We were supposed to do a 30 second advertisement on Digi and Swatch in front of the shop
As we had only little time to brainstorm, We finally made our advertisement. And here it is:

So as the advertisement was done, We headed out to Rainforest to do our next challenge which was:

Everyone in the team was given 3 darts to shoot with a blow pipe on to the score board and the aim is to gain as much points on the scoreboard! And of course everyone would need incredible blowing power to ensure that we'll hit the target and to hit it accurately.

A few steps down the cloudy rainforest, we had our 3rd task was

Digi Internet Pimp My Day With Nokia

which is to solve the Picture code by watching the Digi advertisement on a 3g handphone of the person in charge at that booth. So as we watched the advertisement, we were supposed to find clues that is shown in the video. At the end of the task, we found out that the code was "Broadband Done Right!"

So as we completed our tasks in Rainforest, we headed over to the Digi Center which is located near Cold Storage to complete our next task which is:

We were told that our task this time was to download 2 songs from DigiMusic.com namely 1 song from Lady Gaga and a song from Akon. So as we've done this before in the launching of Digi Music , it wasn't that hard and we completed the task rather easily

So as we left the Digi Center, We headed up to the battling cage by lift and to our surprise, we met our fellow bloggers team and started shouting at each other!

So as we reached the Upper Roof where Battling Cages is located for our next task which is

Battling cages is a baseball arena where machines are automatically reloaded with balls to be thrown at us. We waited for a while as there were plenty of teams waiting for their turn. and in the mean time we did a couple of jump shots!

We had our rest and after a mere 15 minutes of waiting, we finally had our turn to hit the cages! Every person in a team was given 15 opportunities to hit the balls and each ball that is successfully shot forward would be awarded a point. And furthermore, anyone who hits the Digi Banner Located at the end of the cage will be awarded a prize as it is considered as a homerun! but sadly no one in my team got it.

So moving on to the next task, It was

Digi Internet Pimp My Day With Mardigras

We headed back to Mardi Gras as there was a dance off with judges that had a specific time of 4.15pm-5.30pm. So as we were running out of time, we headed back swiftly and managed to reach in time. Our task this time was to dance with the theme of "athlete" so as crazy as we are, we were able to come up with some dance that involved climbing on polls and jumping around on the stage.

Next challenge would be:

Digi Internet Pimp My Day With Quiksilver

We were required to come out with creative poses, dressed in the outfits provided by aforementioned store. So there we were, picking up the garments and mixed them around, and tada! Got our picture taken, uploaded it to Facebook and proceeded to tag Digi and Time Out and with that, our task was considered accomplished.

Lastly, we went up to Celebrity Fitness to complete our FINAL task which was

we had to run on the threadmill for 800M with our fastest speed. Since it was our last task, all of us gave our best and last strength to complete it. All of us managed to complete it but ended up exhausted. It was a good exercise indeed. *thumbs up*

We may not win this contest, but we definitely learnt a lot from this! Teamwork, cooperation, understanding are some of the elements that united us throughout the whole procedure, and last but not least, may the force be with us :)
